Currency Redesign
I reimagined U.S. currency through a Fender guitar lens, pairing legendary artists with their signature models. The set assigns a distinct, bill-specific palette for instant recognition: amber gold for the Telecaster ($50, Bruce Springsteen), crimson red for the Jazzmaster ($20, Kurt Cobain), moss green for the Starcaster ($5, Radiohead’s guitarist), and violet–lilac for the Stratocaster ($100, Jimi Hendrix). Each note uses a modular grid, bold denomination hierarchy, and an oversized guitar silhouette as a watermark shape. Security-inspired detailing elevates the system: microprint patterns, mirrored numerals, serial indicators, and a vector Fender headstock emblem used as a repeating mark. Layered textures, controlled grain, and opacity masks blend photography with vector forms without muddying type. The result is a cohesive, high-contrast series that feels like real currency while celebrating rock history through color, typography, and meticulous print craft.
